The Freedom of Information Acts, 1997 & 2003 provides that every person has the legal right to:
- access official records held by public bodies listed in the Act;
- have personal information held on them corrected or updated where such information is incomplete, incorrect or misleading; and
- be given reasons for decisions taken by public bodies that affect them.
Freedom of Information and the Affordable Homes Partnership
The Act requires Affordable Homes Partnership to respond to requests from the public for information held by the Affordable Homes Partnership.
The Affordable Homes Partnership is obliged to:

If the Affordable Homes Partnership does not respond within four weeks the request is deemed to have been refused and the requester can proceed to the review stage.
